Assessment Methods
IOSH Working Safely is assessed through a short knowledge assessment at the end of the course. Learners are required to demonstrate their understanding of the key health and safety principles covered during the training.
Successful delegates achieving 60% of marks receive an IOSH Working Safely certificate.
Progression Options
IOSH Working Safely provides a strong foundation in workplace health and safety awareness.
Learners can progress to IOSH Managing Safely and, for those seeking a career or greater responsibility in health and safety, further study such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate can provide a pathway towards more advanced health and safety roles.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. No previous health and safety qualification or experience is required.
The course is suitable for employees at all levels and across different industries. Learners should have sufficient English language and literacy skills to understand the course materials and complete the assessment.

The Student Experience Team can mentor and signpost students who are struggling with a range of issues that are negatively impacting their day-to-day life. The Student Experience Team works closely with the Safeguarding & Lifestyle Teams to promote proactive wellbeing enrichment sessions. The team can refer on to counselling when appropriate.
