Course Overview

Thrive: Adult Life Foundations is a practical, learner-centred programme designed to equip adults with the essential knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to live healthy, safe, and independent lives. Through engaging activities, real-world scenarios, and supportive guidance, learners will explore key aspects of wellbeing, personal responsibility, and modern life skills.

The course aims to:

  • Promote healthier lifestyle choices
  • Build essential personal and home safety awareness
  • Develop routines and habits that sustain physical and mental wellbeing
  • Strengthen independence in navigating daily life and digital environments
  • Empower learners to live confidently and safely within their community.

Assessment Methods

RARPA is used throughout this programme. Evidence of progress towards individualised targets will be collated throughout the year, and reviewed each half term with learners.

Progression Options

Learners will be supported to progress onto other adult programmes in the future, to continue to develop independence, social skills and wellbeing.

Entry Requirements

This course is designed for Foundation Learning students with identified learning needs. Suitability for enrolment will be assessed and discussed during the interview process.
