Course Overview

Are you passionate about media and photography? This course has been designed with a strong focus on photography, culminating in a final project where you can develop and showcase your own creative work.

Throughout the course, you will complete three projects aimed at building your skills, exploring darkroom and studio-based photography, and gaining an understanding of the creative industries. You will also learn about working as a freelance photographer and how to effectively engage with an audience.

As a Level 2 qualification, this course also supports the development of your English and maths skills, particularly for those retaking GCSEs. Photography naturally incorporates elements of both subjects, making it a great way to enhance your abilities in a practical and engaging way.

You will have access to trips and residentials, visiting speakers, and professional facilities. Work placements and work readiness take place throughout the course to ensure you are ready to progress your studies or enter the workplace.
