This apprenticeship standard will enable you to develop skills in fitting, assembly, mechanical maintenance and precision measurement. You will build technical knowledge, health and safety awareness alongside the behaviours required to be impactful in industry with a focus on the mechanical pathway.

Assessment Methods

During your first and second year on programme, you will complete a level 3 diploma in Engineering evidencing knowledge through written assessments and practical assessments. At the end of your apprenticeship programme, you will complete an End Point Assessment which will include a multiple-choice assessment, professional discussion and project.

Progression Options

You may progress onto further study in mechanical engineering such as a degree aprenticeship. Alternatively, you may progress into job roles such as a senior team leader, ull time Machining Technician in industry.

Entry Requirements

You are required to evidence a minimum of a grade 4 GCSE or L2 Functional skills equivalent in English and Maths at enrolment.
