Engineering and Automotive students and staff at Bridgwater College raised £168.75 for Mind in Somerset following a staff sports event and BBQ.
The team chose the local charity as the beneficiary of their fundraising, helping to support its work promoting good mental health and wellbeing across Somerset.
The money raised will go towards Mind in Somerset’s Youth Safe Space project, which provides support for young people across the county. The charity also offers vital support to people experiencing mental and emotional distress, helping to ensure they can access support when they need it most.
I’m really pleased that our team has come together to support such an important cause. It’s great to see our students and staff making a positive contribution to the local community and supporting the vital work Mind in Somerset does.
Vinnie Maisey
